Supported SQL Server settings and contact support message

If certain database settings become changed, it may lead to Ava performing in a sub optimal way. Ava currently supports all editions of SQL 2005, SQL 2008, SQL 2008R2 and SQL 2012. Depending on the install route your server has taken, there are now variations in settings that occur because of installation in different environments.

If any non optimum setting are detected then Ava PA will display a message when it starts. The following is an example, the exact message may change.

In SQL Server Management Studio if you right click on the (relevant) database node

On the options tab:

The following settings are supported:

If you do not have a backup of log files, then recovery model must be set to simple.

The compatibility level must be 90, 100 or 110

Auto close should be false

Auto create statistics should be true

Auto shrink should be false

Auto update statistics should be true

Please do not change any other settings without consulting Ava support.
