This article will show you how to update your Sage account records when a customer's cheque (that has already been entered into Sage) bounces.
Click on the Corrections Module:
In the top left corner, click on the Customer Write Off / Refund option:
A box will appear headed Write Off, Refunds and Returns Wizard.
The Wizard is quite straightforward to use. Firstly select the Customer Cheque Returns option and then click Next:
Then a box showing your current customers will appear - select the customer in question and click Next.
Another box will appear with recent payments made by that customer. Highlight the payment record concerned and click Next.
The next box asks for a Date and Reference, so complete these as required and click Next:
The final box shows a summary of the details you have entered, check these are all correct. If there is an error, click Back and correct, otherwise click on Finish.
