Setup email notification action when a new request for shifts to be filled is entered
The web site allows authorised users to add new requests aka
vacancies. As this can be done at any time of night or day for any
authorised location by anyone with authorised access to the web
site. Consequentially it may be useful to notify a line manager
that a new request has been placed. An email can automatically be
sent to any specified address. There are actually three possible
actions that can be selected:
- Send an email to the specified email address on the 'request
authorisation' address tab for the appropriate department or give
an error message if there is no valid email address on the
- Send an email to the email address on the 'request
authorisation' address tab if there is a valid address. Do not give
an error message if there is not a valid address on that tab.
- Don't send an email, do not check the 'request authorisation'
The action can easily be changed by anyone with a "Web
supervisor" authorised web site login.
Once you are logged in, you will see a "Web managers" menu.
From this menu select "setup web site".
Under the heading of "Manager set up" you will see a line "New

All requests will now follow the saved option.
